Div., Harvard Divinity School Ph.D., University of KwaZulu-Natal Elizabeth Parsons is an educator and development professional with a background in non-profit administration that has included academic, community-based, and artistic endeavors. Raised in the Churches of Christ, she has since been confirmed in the Anglican tradition and, in the early 2000s, she and her husband served as Episcopal missioners in Zimbabwe and Zambia. She is presently completing a book length manuscript based on doctoral work carried out in the mining communities of Zambia’s Copperbelt province. Some of her research interests include southern Africa; intersections between mission, development and ecology; and the contribution of supernatural perspectives to inquiries regarding missions, religion, science, and development. |
